Forthcoming Talk – ‘Crafting Citizens: Facing Controversy and Teaching Citizenship,’ at Research Matters! Brown GS Event, 9/27

I’m delighted to announce that I have been selected to present a talk on my graduate work at Research Matters! —Brown Graduate School Symposium featuring eight Ph.D. candidates and two Ph.D. alumni from across disciplines.

My talk is titled Crafting Citizens: Facing Controversy and Teaching Citizenship. Designed for a general audience in the spirit of TEDx presentations, the talk will explain the import of my dissertation research on civic education in liberal democracies. The talk also presents a rare opportunity to explain to a wider audience (some of) what a political theorist actually does.

Research Matters! takes place on Saturday 27 September, 3-5pm at the Granoff Center for the Creative Arts, Martinos Auditorium.
